Due to the continued growth Road Tankers Northern Clayton Vallely, the position of yardman/stores assistant has arisen within our manufacturing/engineering company.

Candidate

The Ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic team player, good communicator with an eye for detail and a willingness to learn. Full training will be given.

You will have 2 GCSE level 1-4 or equivalent preferably in maths and English and be competent in basic computer skills. We are looking for a punctual, reliable and motivated individual to work alongside our existing professionals in a fast-paced dynamic store.

You will be dealing with delivery drivers, and also our engineers as and when they come to stores to request parts, so good people skills/coms are essential. 

  • Min’ 2 Yrs. FLT/Yard experience essential
  • Driving licence 
  • Class I or II preferred but not essential

Duties

Typical duties include (but limited to)

  • Receiving stock/goods in.
  • Unloading delivery vehicles using flt.
  • Keeping yard area clean/tidy
  • Carrying out relevant checks i.e., counting/correct spec’
  • Matching delivery notes to purchase orders
  • Placement of received items to correct location
  • Stock issue and booking out
  • Housekeeping Assisting with installation of heavy components to vehicles using flt
  • Assisting with installation of heavy components to vehicles using flt

Hours 

£10/hr, 40 hrs/week between the hrs of 6am and 5pm TBA. We are located 2 mis from Jn 36 M1
